Our house is situated in the Shandon area in the West of Edinburgh. Click here to view map. We can be found just off of Slateford Road.
What?
Our accomodation is comfortable and welcoming, it includes one Twin Room and one Double Room. There is also a small kitchen and shower room which can be used by guests. The building is a three storey Townhouse and the guest rooms are situated on the second floor. We are self catering only and do not include breakfast.
Local Services
Newsagents and grocery stores are located in various places around the area and are easy and quick to get to. Buses run every 5 minutes into the City Centre of Edinburgh. The bus journey duration is 5 minutes. These buses run throughout the city so you can get to any place in town you wish. There are bus stops accross the street from the house so you do not have a long way to walk.
Attractions
We are a 5 minute walk from Tynecastle Football Stadium. We are only 10 minutes bus journey from Murrayfield Rugby Stadium. Haymarket train station is 10 minutes away. There are several pubs and restaurants situated around the area, the biggest one being directly accross the street. We are right next to Harrison Park, which is the perfect place to take a walk. Beside Harrison Park you can find the Union Canal that runs through Edinburgh to Livingston. Buses to Portobello beach run regularly. The buses that run into town and back make it quick and easy to visit attractions such as Edinburgh Castle, The Scot Monument, The Royal Mile, Holyrood Palace and Princes Street Gardens.
